Can YOU complete a map of the Middle East?
I sure couldn't. :-(

I never had any interest in watching Titanic. (Aside from the clothing, of course, of which I can find plenty of photos online). However, Annemarie did a fantastic job of recreating the famous flying scene in miniature.
And then there's this site. Also looks interesting.
So can you guess what kind of web search I'm conducting?
Oooh. I like this site. I may have to spend money here.
*a little while later*
I just took a better look at this site. It's actually a site that caters to professionals organizers. This is . . . one of the things I'm seriously considering doing. Is that a silly thing? To say that I want to be a professional organizer when I grow up? It gives rise to mental images of pristine, bare houses that you're afraid to walk through or touch anything, for fear of incurring the wrath of the spastic, control freak owner. On the other hand, I'd know where everything is, I wouldn't be embarassed to have people over, and it would make things easier to clean.
A major disadavantage to this type of job is that there's only so much I can do. Organization is unique to each individual and the way they think. The rest is up to the client. All the storage products in the world can't help certain people if they refuse to use the tools given to them and to perform the tasks to help them stay organized.
It's still something I'd like to try. I just need to resist the urge to grow my hair out so I can put it up in a french twist and stick a pencil in it.

Sidebar girl number the next . . . a snow fairy! She doesn't need wings because she floats and drifts as gracefully as any snowflake. Her skin is translucent, but I could only find one good way to emphasize that - and people don't seem to like animated backgrounds. I may switch back and forth anyway - since I don't think it interferes with reading the text.
I played a bit with patterns on the gown, although it's hard to tell because I went and covered it up with a swirl of snowflakes from the same pattern. Oh well. I also had fun playing with special effects to get the ice drops in her hair - pity they don't show up well at this size.
Anyway, Enjoy!

For all those eye-rollers who scoff at minis - eat your hearts out.
Man, what a collection. I wonder if they were all assembled into one room or house? That must have been pretty incredible.

The latest sidebar girl. This time it represents me, a kind of celebration of my new job. It's a crazy transition. Heels, stockings, getting up at 7 in the morning, not get home til 5:30 pm, no more free Fridays. There's all kinds of new things to learn and people to listen to. Shock city. It's good for me, though.
I'm pleased. I'm getting better at drawing! I had a much easier time with the eyes and nose, although mouths are still giving me trouble. The links don't fit quite as well this time, but it's close enough to get the general idea.

What would you do if you had a real lightsaber?
I'm impressed. I have nothing against this video, and you know how I am about stuff like that. Good actors, funny script, good special effects, good choreography. Enjoy!
