I'm beginning to understand why some banks charge their customers when they go inside to the tellers. I was sitting in the drivethrough, and could see through the window to the counter, where a teller was helping a customer . . . who was on his cell phone. Talking, the whole time, with barely a glance at her. Now, in my opinion, you should only need to go inside to a teller if you have a complicated transaction or need help. In either of these situations, you should need to actually talk to the teller. As in, HANG UP THE PHONE! Being polite to the people you're face to face with is still more important than whoever's on the phone. They can wait, or call back or be put on hold. Oh, I'd still gripe about being charged, but I have a little bit more sympathy for tellers and clerks and checkout people.
Ahh, there's nothing like being woken up by the sounds of a circling helicopter. Ever since I saw those two fighter planes on the chase I've been jumpy about helicopters, low flying planes, loud cars . . . it's driving me nuts.
Ack! Where did all this SNOW come from? What a horrible thing to look outside and see. At least it isn't sticking to the roads. Dad and I were able to go to Home Depot so he could get a piece of wood (?) and I could get wall shelves and the pole bracket thingies. (Need them for TWO windows, not one! this was the second time I had to go find them!) That room (still hard to say "my room", it was Erin's for 20 years!) is almost ready! Some of my clothes and my books are already in there. Erin still has a lot to take home . . . Mom's getting more antsy. She wants her sewing room! Now!
All right! It's still working! Now, if I could actually get the perl guestbook to work, I'd consider myself a proficient web page creator.
