Welcome to my web site! Did you come looking for my life story? Well, you're not going to get it, I don't want you falling asleep on your keyboard. (You'll wake up with funny little marks all over your face.) Consider this page an explanation of the eclectic nature of this web site. It has to do with the web mistress!
I was born in October 1978 and have lived in Northern Virginia all of my life. (Yes, there IS such a thing as a native Northern Virginian!)
I have an Associate's Degree in Information Systems Technology. That pretty much means I know enough about computers to get myself into big trouble AND get myself back out. I also have a certification in interior decorating. I like to make my surroundings pretty and organized. (If you can see over my shoulder at this moment, please disregard the mess!) I am currently attending George Mason University, pursuing a bachelor's degree in History. Because . . . I am a geek.
My interests are quite varied and change frequently. I get into different things at different times, mostly depending on my mood, the time of year, and friends or family.
I am a miniaturist; elsewhere on my site you'll find pictures of some of my projects. I also love all kinds of music and dance. And I do mean all kinds - I listen to practically everything! I have a goal of learning every type of dance, from ballroom to bellydance. I enjoy history, old movies, martial arts films and J.R.R. Tolkien.
My mind is a storage facility for thousands of pieces of useless trivia. Show me a map and you will keep me busy for a good hour. Make me watch a movie with historically accurate costumes and scenery, and you will be forced to watch the movie a second time, with many long pauses as I admire the details. If you mention that something's in pieces, I'll take quite a delight in putting it back together. Yes, I am a geek. No, I will never stop learning. And watch out for my bad puns.
This site is about me. If I try something new, complete a project, it goes up here. That's why the topics here are so varied. I hope you enjoy your visit.
